Job Description
Job Responsibilities:

  • Environment Health and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Inspects the facility & production activities to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
  • Develops environment, health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Facilities and equipment test in accordance with local related regulations.
  • Take part in plant facility maintain, modification and refurbishment.
  • Performs incident investigations and corrective action process
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required; Master’s degree desirable.
  • Required minimum 5 years of related working experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English. Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations related to the environment and workplace health and safety.
  • Working knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001 is an advantage.
  • Good relationship with local government and familiar with local EHS rules.
