Job Description
Job Responsibilities: 

  • Developing and implementing purchasing strategies
  • Managing daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks
  • Managing supplier relations and negotiation contracts, prices, timelines, etc 
  • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
  • Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications 
  • Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets 
  • Working to improve purchasing systems and processes
  • Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system
  • To source new suppliers for better quality, payment terns and price
  • To provide direction for the department to ensure department’s to ensure department’s result is able to meet company needs at all times 
  • To manage warehouse team towards accurate issuing, distribution, shipment and inventory 

Job Requirements: 

  • Degree in business admnistration or a related field for 5 years or above
  • Experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar 
  • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
  • Supervisory and management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills 
  • Strong planning and organizational skill 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Experience in sourcing electronic components will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge about planning, purchasing, warehouse and logistic
  • Competent to speak in Mandarin will be an added advantage
  • Applicant must be willing to work in Sungai Petani, Kedah
