Safety & Health Officer

Job Description

Job Responsibilites:

Conduct induction for new employees; contractors; etc. on company’s safety rules and regulations.

Conduct TBM briefing at site and the pre-task plan (PTP) to the workers at work site prior to commencement of work.

Supervise the project work at site full time in term of safety compliance to the client’ requirement and update work safety status to the Project Manager and client’ safety person in-charge.

Prepare MOS and HIRARC report.

To monitor, control and ensure day to day total compliance of all safety, health and environmental.

To anticipate, prevent and eliminate all unsafe conditions and practices at site.

Involved in risk/hazard assessment at site.

Liaise with DOE, DOSH, BOMBA and local authority.

Conduct inquiry, violation probe, accident investigations of any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence etc.

Job Requirements:

Must possess valid Green Book (registered with DOSH).

Min bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or a related field is required.

Min 5 years and above relevant working experience in construction or engineering.

Possess basic knowledge of AutoCAD.

Able to read basic engineering drawings.

Good in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Good in Ms Excel and Ms PowerPoint.

Certificate or confined space assessor or scaffolding would be an advantage.

Must be able to travel whenever required.
